Many ClickDimensions customers have already realized the benefits of using campaign automation to nurture their leads and customers. As the popularity of campaign automation increases, we get a lot of customers asking about different aspects of the campaign automation builder. One such question is: when you are building an automation, how do you determine whether you should end a series when it is completed or when a trigger is achieved? The answer to that question depends on how you would like to handle the participants who don’t complete the trigger in question. If you plan on nurturing them further, then you will want to end a series when it is completed so all participants continue down a path you have set up for them. In the example campaign automation below, we are adding people to a list and sending them an email to learn more about ClickDimensions surveys. The email interaction trigger will check to see if anyone has opened the email within a day. If the email has been opened, we will send the recipient a separate email on forms. If the email has not been opened after a day, we will resend a variation on our original survey email. In this case, we will want to end our first series when it is completed. That way, everyone will reach the “Survey Email Opened” trigger even if they haven’t opened the email and will be sent down the correct path. If we were to use the “Trigger is Achieved”…
